Hrithik Roshan : I Train Four Times in a Week

Hrithik Roshan’s killer bod just doesn’t make it self. The man works hard for it. “I train four times in a week. I do cardio three days in a week. Cardio is like jogging on the runner or skip for about 25 minutes. My weight training is very simple. I just keep it very intense, very short. I don’t train for more than 40 minutes.

I just do enough to maintain myself. I don’t want to get bulky,” says the man with the most perfect sculpted arms in Bollywood. “I believe your body is 90 per cent your diet. And diet one has to take control of,” he adds. “Eat the right food. I don’t eat butter, ghee, oil. I just eat grilled boiled roasted stuff.”

He has a fabulous upper body. His shoulders are well-built. Broad, well-toned and well muscled. He has the perfect amount of muscle for his height and body structure.

Fitness Secret:
The Actor who sought Salman Khan's help to get a chiselled body for his debut Kaho Na Pyaar Hai, continued experimenting with his fitness in Koi Mil Gaya, and lately in Jodha Akbar.

Hrithik concentrates on toning his shoulders, chest, arms and abs. There are various upper body exercises he practices.
Since the very beginning he is different in his approach from the rest, he only emphasizes on his upper body workouts. "I realize that it's your arms and your chest and shoulders that are more prominent on screen. That's why I work more on them. And I don't need to stay in my gym for hours. I have developed a system whereby even a slight workout helps me in giving the required shape to my body," says Hrithik.

The hunk is currently also into Pilates and running to strengthen his knees.

He is also known to drink at least four bottles of water everyday.

Survival of the Slimmest!

Adnan Sami may have lost 109 kilos, but he insists that losing the last 20 kilos is going to be the toughest

Adnan Sami has received a 'fitting' response for having lost 109 kilos. The singer, however, says that it is still a 'weight and watch' situation for him as the next 20 kilos that will get him to his target weight of 80 kilos will be the toughest to knock off.

"Losing weight is like running a marathon, where running the last lapse is the toughest. You know you are close to victory but you're nearing exhaustion and need to put in that last-ditch effort, no matter what," says Adnan who is drawing support from friends and family in his effort to slim down. "I am able to keep at it only because of the co-operation and support I have received from my family and friends. It's getting very tougher each day but I am heartened by the support I have been receiving."

Adnan was shaken out of his complacence about his weight when his doctor had a word with him last year. "One day, my doctor bluntly told me that he wouldn't be surprised if my parents found me dead in a hotel."

That incident spelt a major turning point in his life. Adnan started his diet programme in July last year (2006) and since then life has been different for him. "Only after losing the first 20 kilos did people notice that I was slimmer. 'Oh, we actually see a dent somewhere" they would say," laughs Adnan. "Now I can experience the simple joys of life like any normal person. Guess what, I can sit crossed-legged now. Earlier I would sleep in a sitting position, now I lie down! I used to love travelling but it soon became a nightmare as I was so petrified of walking at the airports, not fitting into seats…"

Adnan Sami's Diet Plan - How Adnan Sami Lost More that 125 Kgs

Adnam Sami cut down on bread, rice, sugar and oil completely.

His diet includes salads, dal without tadka, tandoori fish without oil, popcorn without butter, Lots of sugar-free drinks and no alcohol.

  • He usually starts the day with a cup of sugarless tea.

  • He eats plain dal (no rice, roti) for dinner.

  • "I am allowed to have chicken but I don't feel like having it," Adnan says.

Kareena Kapoor Talks about how and why she lost weight

Ever since Kareena Kapoor made a recent appearance at an event looking gaunt and washed out, warning bells began ringing in our heads. Was the drastic weight loss for a film role or was the normally healthy actress taking 'being fit' a little too seriously? When we first wrote about her unusually small frame last week, Kareena light-heartedly laughed off our concern. Then the story exploded in the media, with news channels going as far as to say that the actress is suffering from bulimia (an eating disorder where people purge food they've eaten by inducing vomiting) and is anorexic. Needless to say, the actress is upset with such talk and wants to clear the air.

Have you lost weight because of an eating disorder?

Are you mad? I am far from anorexic! I have lost weight for my role in Tashan. I've been training to do some action scenes hence the sudden trim-down. It's a great role and required it

So people are making an issue out of nothing?

That I have supposedly become anorexic is making national headlines and has gone completely out of hand! Everywhere I go, people ask me why I've lost so much weight. It feels good to know that I am so important, but I don't want people to panic. It's bizarre. When I put on weight people say I'm fat, when I lose it people say I'm anorexic!

Who is helping you with it?

I have a dietician called Roojuta and a yoga trainer from Bharat Thakur's school, whom I hired especially for Tashan. I'm following a healthy diet and a regular workout and fitness regime and feeling great. I've stopped eating junk food till Tashan gets over in November. I promise that after the filming is over I will start eating everything!

What is your mother's reaction to the rumours?

Well, she is concerned and keeps asking me to go and eat Chinese food with her (Bebo's favourite cuisine)! However, I'm off that too for the moment. I have worked very hard in the last seven months, so please don't take away from it by calling me anorexic. I just have to maintain it till November.

Some people think you're starving yourself.

Please! I don't starve. I am a Kapoor and our family's middle name is food. Till a month ago, I was eating lots of junk food like sandwiches, noodles, etc., but now I am preparing for a major shooting schedule so I have to maintain my weight. I am doing lots of yoga to tone up my body. After Tashan you will get to see a curvy Kareena once again.

How much weight have you lost since you started training?

About five kilos and it's all thanks to a healthy diet and regular exercise. Hollywood stars too have dieticians monitoring their food intake and physical exercise. When those stars lose weight why aren't they called anorexic?
